Counselling, Psychotherapy & Coaching.
Clinical specialist and provider for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition and other Neurodivergent profiles.
Hi I'm Charlotte, Clinical Director of Out of the Woods Therapies Ltd. I'm a Integrative counsellor and coach. I work largely with individuals with diagnoses of ADHD, as well as perinatal mental health and attachment. My passion is working with other Neurodivergent individuals through their journey, whether this be late or new diagnosis, struggles with relationships, self image, autistic burnout, overwhelm and/or anxiety.
I offer a safe therapeutic space and as a dual qualified therapist and coach, a model of integration which means being able to look at past, present and future. I am a trauma informed practitioner and my work in underpinned by relational theory. I can offer specific ADHD time limited coaching for access to work. I also can provide therapeutic gaming using Minecraft.
As an integrative counsellor and coach, my goal is to support your specific goals. I encourage all clients to push boundaries and develop their self awareness whether these are personal or professional. Coaching is a collaborative process for those who have somewhere that they want to get to. This could be improving relational issues, a career goal, navigating an ADHD diagnosis or supporting understanding of their neurodivergent identity.
Sometimes a new diagnosis stirs up past unresolved conflicts and anxieties that can create challenges to your life. It could identify that you are overwhelmed through masking or living a life being misunderstood. Many more women are receiving diagnoses from the neurodiversity spectrum and I can fully support you with your new discoveries about yourself.

My Story
Personal Consultant, Coach, Counsellor.
First and foremost I am a mother of two children and understand the juggle of parenting, life and career. I fully support and empower other women in their journey, whether that be transitioning to motherhood, identity as a neurodivergent, change of career goals or discovering your next steps. My work is trauma informed and through an attachment focused lens, originally trained in psychodynamics, I undertook a second Masters in Integrative counselling and coaching utilising a model called personal consultancy. This allows me to work with surface and depth and move between the two during your therapeutic sessions.

I am a clinical provider for ADHD and clinical specialist for ASC through PESI.
I would describe my coaching style as collaborative and dynamic. I am a very attentive listener and a mindful practitioner and work compassionately with my clients and through the process of coaching. I utilise third wave therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion focused therapy (CFT). This gives you a bespoke coaching experience and a comprehensive service to guide and help you overcome your challenges.
I believe that every woman should feel validated in their experiences and comfortable living in their own skin. It is empowering to see women thrive and live their lives authentically as who they are.

Clinical Hypnotherapy
I am a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist as well as a Hypnobirthing practitioner. Often mothers and birthing people can experience anxieties during the perinatal period for a variety of reasons. I can help you from pregnancy to post birth with issues such as postnatal depression, struggles with bonding, overwhelm and anxiety.
Hypnotherapy can be a fantastic tool to work with phobias, tics and anxieties. I often utilise Tapping (TFT) to compliment the therapy. Hypnotherapy sessions last for 1 hour.

Coaching
Coaching can be useful for a variety of reasons and often clients feel that they are in a 'moving forward' mindset. Even if some past issues pop up, we can address these as we go along. I am a clinical provider for ADHD and ASC for children and adults.

ADHD Coaching can be very effective to manage disorganisation, masking, burnout, overwhelm, time keeping and self image, amongst many more. Sometimes it is about a 'good enough' system to provide challenge to those executive function deficits and partial improvements to make life more comfortable. I come from a strengths based approach to enable ND individuals to unmask and live more authentically as themselves.
Coaching sessions £125 per hour.

Natalie, age 34
The coaching process has been really rewarding. I have learned how to communicate clearly with my team and to reflect on my leadership skills. Char was an amazing listener and gave me fantastic insight and tips to improve in my performance and feel comfortable with others. I developed compassion for myself by allowing colleagues' feelings to not effect my own. This was done whilst creating a safe but challenging coaching environment and has driven me to think about my future and what I want that to look like. I'm ready to take those steps!
