All About Me

Integrative Coach and Counsellor

My journey into the therapeutic space started in 2006 after I completed my Psychology degree. Much of my work has been with individuals on the autism spectrum and I completed a standalone qualification in the now outdated diagnosis of 'Asperger's Syndrome' as a Postgraduate Certificate. I have spent the last 15+ years working with trauma and attachment, becoming inspired by individual stories, the challenges and struggles that many face in their early relationships. I completed a Masters in Psychodynamics in 2014 before the birth of my daughter as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Attachment, theory, and practice. I have gone onto upskill myself as a practitioner, undertaking further training in Mindfulness, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and numerous attachment assessments as well as the ADOS 2 for Autism diagnostics. I am currently training in the AD-IR for the administration of Autism assessments.

I returned to university in 2021 to undertake a much coveted Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative counselling and coaching, through the use of the Personal Consultancy model. This allows clients to be able to receive the right support that they need at that time, whether this be processing past issues or utilising coaching to reach a value driven goal. I have a wealth of experience working with relational difficulties and would love to help my clients to get unstuck and lead a life congruent to who they really are and what they really want.

I am passionate about supporting individuals with neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and appreciate that there are many people out there who have gone under the radar, without being truly seen now receiving late diagnosis. Out of the Wood Therapies Ltd is a neuro affirming therapeutic and supportive organisation.

I am a cat person, I have two feline friends and two primary aged children.

Qualifications and CPD

I believe it is important to be transparent with clients about my training and qualifications in this recent landscape of increased diagnosis as unfortunately coaching is not a regulated profession and there are many offering ADHD coaching that lack the lived experience, knowledge and skill to fully support clients. Please always do your research before trusting a practitioner with you the therapeutic space.
