Hi I'm Charlotte, Clinical Director of Out of the Woods Therapies Ltd. I'm a Integrative Accredited (BACP) Psychotherapist and Coach. I work largely with individuals with new or late discoveries of their Neurodivergence such as Autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. I have worked in the space of attachment and developmental trauma for nearly two decades. My passion is working with other Neurodivergent individuals through their journey. My clients are maybe like you, struggling with the quiet exhaustion of "camouflaging" their true self just to get through the day, or the heavy, soul-deep weight of Autistic burnout and sensory overwhelm. You could be a parent tenderly navigating a new path for your child, or an adult finally—perhaps for the first time—gathering the scattered pieces of your own identity, this is the journey and it belongs entirely to you..

"ADHD loops," moments of "brain fog," and Autistic shutdowns are so much more than just symptoms to be managed; they are your body’s way of signaling that your environment and your beautiful, complex nervous system are maybe out of sync.

For many, this path involves navigating the intense, internal landscape of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), where even a small perceived shift in connection can feel like a sharp sting. For others, it’s the quiet, often isolating experience of Alexithymia, the challenge of untangling what you are feeling when the words just won't come. If you have felt "stuck" or unable to move forward, I want to offer a different perspective: that "stuckness" is not a reflection of your willpower. It is a valid, physiological response to a world that often lacks the blueprint for your specific wiring. My passion is to witness and support your lived experience and explore your sensory needs and identity, finding a way forward that actually feels like home to you.

I offer a safe therapeutic space and as a dual qualified therapist and coach. I work within a model of integration, which means being able to look at past, present and future. I am a trauma informed practitioner and my work in underpinned by relational theory. I don't subscribe to a deficit model of ND being less than, and I enjoy working with clients difference in both their brains and nervous systems through a validating process. I can offer specific ADHD coaching for access to work sessions, and can administer both the ADOS-2 & AD-IR diagnostic for Autism, as well as administer the MoTC, SAA, AAI and CAPA for attachment assessments.

Are you struggling with a lifelong sense of being "different," but never having the right words to describe why?

Do you find yourself constantly exhausted by trying to fit into a world that wasn't built for your brain?

Do you want to move past the labels and finally understand how your unique mind works? Whether you are looking for a formal diagnosis or simply seeking a "companion guide" to your own life, let’s explore the question "Is this autism or ADHD?" with the nuance, respect, and validation you deserve.

Are you struggling with the exhausting cycle of starting with 100% energy only to hit an invisible wall? Do you feel like you’re constantly "spinning your wheels" in ADHD loops—overthinking every detail until you’re too paralysed to take the first step?

Do you want to stop fighting your brain and start working with your natural rhythms? Together, we can find ways to release the pressure and build authentic momentum, moving you out of the "stuck" phase and into a life that feels sustainable and self-fulfilling.

Are you struggling with burnout, sensory overwhelm, or the feeling that you’re "failing" at things that seem easy for everyone else? Are you tired of masking your true self just to get through the day?

Do you want to stop wondering and start discovering? I offer a neuro-affirming space where we don't look at "symptoms," but at your lived experience. Together, we can navigate the complexities of discovery and find the tools that actually work for your specific nervous system.

Natalie, age 34

The coaching process has been really rewarding. I have learned how to communicate clearly with my team and to reflect on my leadership skills. Char was an amazing listener and gave me fantastic insight and tips to improve in my performance and feel comfortable with others. I developed compassion for myself by allowing colleagues' feelings to not effect my own. This was done whilst creating a safe but challenging coaching environment and has driven me to think about my future and what I want that to look like. I'm ready to take those steps!

My Story

Psychotherapist, Coach, Counsellor, Assessor for Autism AD-IR & ADOS 2, Attachment assessment administrator MotC, AAI, CAPA & SAA.

First and foremost I am a mother of two children and understand the juggle of parenting, life and career. I fully support and empower others in their journey, whether that be transitioning to a new life stage, identity as a neurodivergent, change of career goals or discovering your next steps. My work is trauma informed and through an attachment focused lens, originally trained in psychodynamics, I undertook a second Masters in Integrative counselling and coaching utilising a model called personal consultancy. This allows me to work with surface and depth and move between the two during your therapeutic sessions.

I am a clinical provider for ADHD and clinical specialist for Autism and DBT through PESI.

I would describe my coaching style as collaborative and dynamic.  I am a very attentive listener and a mindful practitioner and work compassionately with my clients and through the process of coaching. I utilise third wave therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion focused therapy (CFT). This gives you a bespoke coaching experience and a comprehensive service to guide and help you overcome your challenges.

I will offer EMDR for trauma processing later in 2026. I can already offer CATT (children's accelerated trauma technique).

I believe that every person should feel validated in their experiences and comfortable living in their own skin. It is empowering to see you thrive and live lives authentically as who you are.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

I am a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist as well as a Hypnobirthing practitioner. Often mothers and birthing people can experience anxieties during the perinatal period for a variety of reasons. I can help you from pregnancy to post birth with issues such as postnatal depression, struggles with bonding, overwhelm and anxiety.

Hypnotherapy can be a fantastic tool to work with phobias, tics and anxieties. I often utilise Tapping (TFT) to compliment the therapy. Hypnotherapy sessions last for 1 hour.

Coaching

Coaching can be useful for a variety of reasons and often clients feel that they are in a 'moving forward' mindset.  Even if some past issues pop up, we can address these as we go along. I am a clinical provider for ADHD and Autism for children and adults.

ADHD Coaching can be very effective to manage disorganisation, masking, burnout, overwhelm, time keeping and self image, amongst many more. Sometimes it is about a 'good enough' system to provide challenge to those executive function challenges and partial improvements to make life more comfortable. I come from a strengths based approach to enable ND individuals to unmask and live more authentically as themselves.

Coaching sessions £125 per hour.
